Like many great love stories, ours began on Bumble…right as we were both about to delete it. (Clearly, we’re both really good at timing.) After my mom and sister-in-law spotted Wesley’s profile first and insisted I give him a chance, we matched, and almost immediately, he flew across the country for work for a month. Naturally, we assumed it probably wouldn’t go anywhere. Instead, we spent the next month talking every single day. Texting, calling, and getting to know each other from a distance in a way that somehow just worked. When Wesley finally made it back to North Carolina, we planned the classic first date: dinner and a movie. And somehow, everything we already liked about each other became about ten times better in person. Just one week later, I joined him on a trip to Tennessee with his entire family (no pressure) and somewhere between meeting everyone and surviving the trip, he asked me to be his girlfriend. From there, things fell into place. We moved in together, built a life we love, and our cat Sampson decided Wesley could stay… most of the time. On December 23, 2025, Wesley proposed, and it was absolutely perfect. We can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all of our favorite people! Love, Brantleigh & Wesley
