We met in high school when Jack dated one of my best friends. Several years later, we went on our first date. We had originally planned to meet at a local bar for a few drinks but when we got there, lights were off and the doors were locked. Every restaurant and bar for miles had closed early due to the pandemic regulations. Jack suggested we buy a twelve pack of drinks from the Stewart's across the street and walk to the cemetery to drink them! I spent half the night terrified that we would get arrested for trespassing but I am forever grateful that I said yes to his crazy plans. Little did I know that drinking in the cemetery would be the tamest adventure that Jack talked me into.

Jack had suggested that we plan a photo shoot to recreate some pictures that we had taken at the very beginning of our relationship. He booked the shoot on a Sunday in October at the same orchard where we had those first photos taken. In the weeks leading up to the shoot, I kept joking that I should get my nails done "just in case" but he was adamant that he was NOT proposing and urged me not to get my hopes up. After about an hour of taking photos in the cold, Jack asked the photographer if he could choose a spot for the next few photos. He walked us in front of some trees with bright autumnal colors and asked me to marry him. I was so sure he was kidding that when he pulled the ring out of his pocket I nearly fell over. We spent the rest of the day celebrating with friends and family. We can't wait to celebrate our marriage with you all very soon!
