Wedding Photos
On August 22, 2020, after several rounds of pairing the wedding ceremony and reception down, Carrie and Wes were married in a backyard ceremony at Wes's childhood home in Mt. Vernon, Washington. Here are some of our favorite photos from the day.

Carrie's mom, Audrey Cecil, arranged all of the flowers for the wedding, including Carrie's bouquet!
A tent was set up in the backyard with appropriately distanced tables for a post-wedding dinner.
The field next to Wes's home was planted with more than an acre of flowers, many of which made it into the wedding arrangements and served as a stunning backdrop (tended by Mossy Gate Flower Farm).
The wedding ceremony took place in the front yard. The walk down the aisle began on the front porch of Wes's childhood home.
Wes and Carrie were married by dear family friend Howard Shapiro.
The walk-out included celebratory streamers!
Wes's sister Amelia was not able to fly in from Ireland for the wedding because of Covid so she joined the celebration virtually and was carried around on a laptop for much of the afternoon.

Post-ceremony food included oysters from Skagit Bay, fresh Alaska silver salmon, and local corn grilled up by master chefs Brad and Howard.
We were treated to a stunning sunset over Fir Island to cap off the evening.
Wes and Carrie made their own wedding cakes (lubneh and vache cheesecake with Fir Island blackberry compote) which was accompanied by a traditional Norwegian kransekake.
