Our story started the way a lot of modern love stories do…Instagram. Back in 2019, we connected through mutual friends, random conversations, and an instant sense of familiarity. Even while living in different cities, Sebastian in Miami and Daniela in Orlando, building a friendship always felt easy. What makes our story special is that somehow, our lives had been circling around each other long before we officially met. There were so many moments where we could have crossed paths, but life had different timing planned for us. At the time, things didn’t align the way they were supposed to, and we eventually went our separate ways. Looking back now, we realize we both needed that time to grow, learn, and become the people we were meant to be before finding our way back to each other. Four years later, not knowing if our numbers were even the same, life brought us together again in the exact same way it started…Instagram. We reconnected, and by then Sebastian had moved to Orlando to pursue his master’s degree at UCF. Within days, we saw each other again for the first time in years. Our first time hanging out again wasn’t some big romantic moment…it was simple, comfortable, and honestly just easy, a lot like our love. There were no awkward silences, no pressure, no nerves…it felt like home. A few days later, we went on our first real date to watch a movie. Afterward we shared an ice cream and spent hours talking and laughing about life. From that moment on, everything just clicked. What followed was a love built on laughter, care, friendship, and intention. We found comfort in the little moments, safety in one another, and a kind of peace that comes from knowing you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. Sometimes love doesn’t happen when you expect it to. Sometimes it waits patiently until the timing is right. And somehow, after all those years, we found our way back home to each other.
Nuestra historia empezó como empiezan muchas historias de amor hoy en día…por Instagram. En el 2019 conectamos por amigos en común, conversaciones random y una confianza que se sintió natural desde el principio. Aunque vivíamos en ciudades diferentes, Sebastian en Miami y Daniela en Orlando, construir una amistad siempre fue fácil. Lo más bonito de nuestra historia es que, de alguna manera, nuestras vidas llevaban años dando vueltas una alrededor de la otra mucho antes de conocernos oficialmente. Hubo muchísimos momentos en los que fácilmente pudimos habernos cruzado, pero la vida tenía otros planes y otro timing para nosotros. En ese momento las cosas simplemente no se dieron como tenían que darse, y cada uno siguió su camino. Viéndolo ahora, entendemos que ambos necesitábamos ese tiempo para crecer, aprender y convertirnos en las personas que teníamos que ser antes de volver a encontrarnos. Cuatro años después, sin saber siquiera si todavía teníamos los mismos números de teléfono, la vida nos volvió a unir exactamente de la misma manera en que empezó todo…por Instagram. Volvimos a hablar y, para ese momento, Sebastian ya se había mudado an Orlando para hacer su maestría en UCF. A los pocos días nos vimos otra vez por primera vez en años. La primera vez que nos vimos no fue un gran momento romántico de película. Fue simple, cómoda y, sinceramente, muy fácil, igual que nuestro amor. No hubo silencios incómodos, ni presión, ni nervios…se sentía como estar en casa. Unos días después tuvimos nuestra primera cita de verdad para ir al cine. Después compartimos un helado y pasamos horas hablando, riéndonos y poniéndonos al día sobre la vida. Desde ese momento, todo simplemente encajó. Lo que vino después fue un amor construido con risas, cariño, amistad e intención. Encontramos felicidad en los momentos más simples, seguridad el uno en el otro y esa tranquilidad que llega cuando sabes que estás exactamente donde tienes que estar. A veces el amor no llega cuando uno lo espera. A veces espera con paciencia hasta que llega el momento correcto. Y de alguna manera, después de todos esos años, encontramos el camino de regreso el uno al otro.
