Glacier National Park
Going-to-the-Sun Road — Open to hikers and cyclists in early June; vehicle access opens progressively as the road is plowed. Passes sell out each morning, get yours before 9am! Lake McDonald & Apgar Village — Glacier's largest lake with iconic colorful pebble beaches, boat rentals, and the historic Lake McDonald Lodge. No vehicle reservation needed to reach Apgar. We love Avalanche Trail for an easy access hike with a great view, or Logan Pass for Hidden Lake or the Highline Trail if you have more time!
