We met in 2013 at a high school football game. We crossed paths quite quickly, but continued to bump into each other. One night each week we would meet at a mutual friend's house where we would talk, hang out, and watch The Walking Dead. We started to notice each other more and more as we continued showing up to these nights. One month later, November 3rd to be exact, we were officially dating! And of course, David hardly got the question out because he was rushing out for a fire call!

Saturday morning, December 15th, at 3am we began our day driving to Newark Airport. After enduring a 4 hour flight, we landed in the Dominican Republic. Our vacation with just the two of us began! We got to our room, unpacked, and explored the massive resort we'd be staying at for the next 7 days. We got dressed and left for dinner where we ate our delicious meals of lamb, and steak and lobster. After dinner, we left to explore more of the resort. We wound up lost, searching for our room for nearly 2 hours! Luckily we had drinks to accompany us thanks to the multitude of bars along the way! David desperately wanted to go to the beach and we managed to find the one near our room. We stood barefoot in the soft Dominican sand, hearing waves crashing calmly. For a moment, we looked at the stars without a worry in the world. I leaned on David's chest, his heart was racing and he said "I love you" and I looked up at him, replied with "I love you too" and he got down on his knee and asked me to marry him and of course, I said YES! So here begins our journey as an engaged couple soon to become married!
