And so it begins!

The two lived in the same building, Joe on the third floor and Cate on the first. They met during an afternoon dog walk - their dogs didn't get along, so while the moment was brief, the meeting stayed with them. They'd run into each other every so often but only stopped to chat briefly before heading off to their own destinations. Months later, Cate was out on the front stoop chatting with another neighbor when Joe came home from work. He sat with them and they spent hours talking about work, TV shows, good food spots around town, and how crazy the neighborhood was. Joe invited Cate out to a friend's party in Brooklyn and two weeks later, they became official. Five and a half years later, Joe brought Cate back to those front steps.
