Question

What time do guests need to be at Zephyr Lodge?

Answer

Guests should begin their ascent up to Zephyr Lodge by 3pm at the latest. You will take the Big Springs Gondola up to mid-mountain and then get on the Tahoe Zephyr Lift. It takes about 30 minutes to get from the village all the way up to the top. Ceremony begins at 4pm. Please don't be late.

Question

What if I am scared of chairlifts?

Answer

Don't worry, there are enclosed gondolas available to take, as well. Please allow yourself extra time because you may have to wait a bit longer for the gondola cars to come around. At the end of the night, all guests will head down the mountain in these enclosed gondola cars, as they do not allow guests on the chairlifts at night.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Oh la la. In order to keep our guest list in control we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please feel free to text us with any questions!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Please dress sharp. Think cocktail attire. Whatever that means to you, we support it.

Question

Do you have any hotel recs?

Answer

Yes. Please view the Travel section of our website for details.

Question

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Of course! The gondolas to our ceremony/reception site are wheelchair accessible. At the top, there is a paved path from the top of the chairlift down to Zephyr Lodge.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

For those of you staying at one of the TML/Northstar/Ritz properties, parking should be included. If you are not staying at Northstar, there is paid parking near the Northstar Village. From the lot, you will walk through the Village to the Big Springs gondola and ride to mid-mountain. At mid-mountain you will take the Tahoe Zephyr chairlift/gondola to the ceremony/reception site.

Question

What will the weather be like in Tahoe in August?

Answer

The temperatures during the day in August average between 70-80 degrees, but drop significantly at night. While the reception will take place inside Zephyr Lodge, all guests will take the gondola down the mountain at the end of the evening. Please bring a warm outer layer (jacket/sweater/shawl) with you to the wedding so you don't freeze your arse off at the end of the night!

Question

What is the elevation?

Answer

Northstar Village's elevation is 6330 ft. and Zephyr Lodge is at 7900 ft. This may affect everyone differently, so please remember to pack sunscreen & drink plenty of water.

Question

What if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

We will be hosting a buffet dinner. If you have any strict dietary restrictions, please include them in your RSVP.

Question

What is the terrain like at the top of the mountain?

Answer

When deciding what shoes to wear, please remember that our ceremony will be taking place outside on top of a mountain. The ground is covered in mulch & tanbark, so do choose your shoes wisely.
