Maid of Honor
Wendy and Sarah first met at fellow bridesmaid Susie's 13th birthday. Sarah thought it was hilarious that the karaoke machine said "prog" and Wendy was pedantic and kept explaining that it meant program (there is a recording of this). They met again in high school and have been friends ever since. Sarah was even kind enough to drive with Wendy across the country when she first moved to California.
Bridesmaid
Wendy and Susie have been friends for over 20 years, ever since they met on the first day of 4th grade when they both switched schools to be in the gifted program. They bonded over their shared love of Disney, musicals, and a book series that they no longer talk about. In high school, they were in choir and marching band together and were even in a production of High School Musical.
Bridesmaid
Wendy is so grateful to have Elissa as a sister-in-law. She has always appreciated the partnership that she and Eric, Wendy's brother, have together. One of their biggest bonding moments was when Elissa cut her hand on a food processor and Wendy went with her to the hospital and watched her get stitches.
Bridesmaid
Wendy and Courtney met when they became roommates while at the Disney College Program at Disneyland. They've stayed friends ever since, bonding over all things nerdy, thrifting, puzzles, Nancy Drew computer games, and obviously Disney.
Bridesmaid
Wendy and Becca met when Wendy was in the 9th grade and joined the front ensemble in band. They bonded during their long marching band rehearsals and competitions. They have fond memories of being shoe twins, watching movies together, and playing board games.
Best Man
Tyler and Evan’s friendship began in 2011 and to no one’s surprise, it involved movies. Evan was the roommate of fellow groomsman Winston and needed someone to watch Take Me Home Tonight with him. Tyler agreed to join him and their friendship was cemented when they turned it into a double feature by watching Rango right after. As roommates, they had fun memories of driving Evan to auditions, movie nights, and writing a horror script together. They still don’t know why Take Me Home Tonight didn’t actually use the song in the movie.
Groomsman
Once again, ArcLight is the common thread that helped begin Tyler and Zack’s friendship. What began as 5am Monday morning car rides to work soon led the way to game nights and many intense Mario Kart races. Tyler still doesn’t understand how Zack got to the checkered flag so often after giving Tyler a head start!
Groomsman
Winston and Tyler met in Los Angeles through a mutual friend while Tyler was at film school. After Tyler graduated, Winston was kind enough to let him “crash” (a.k.a. join the lease) with him and best man Evan for several years. Winston is one of the funniest, kindest, and selfless people Tyler has ever met and he can’t imagine his time in Los Angeles without him.
Groomsman
To this day, Tyler doesn’t know why he was more nervous to meet Eric than he was to meet Wendy’s parents. It took him 15 minutes sitting in his car outside Eric’s home to work up the courage to go meet him the first time. Now, all these years later Tyler and Eric love talking movies and TV shows, and Tyler enjoys watching Eric play drums for gigs such as Baby Wants Candy. Plus they have the most uplifting and conflict-free games of Overcooked. They've come so far!
Groomsman
Walker and Tyler met at the ArcLight (RIP), first when Tyler was a crew member before being promoted to manager. Their friendship has grown due to a love of game nights (they were playing Pandemic together when the world shut down in 2020), hot sauces, and Tyler somehow convincing Walker to start watching soccer. They also co-parent a fantasy NBA team!
