Sam and Wendy met on the dating app Hinge. Sam messaged first asking Wendy what is her favorite baseball team. Their love of baseball formed an instant connection. Wendy, however, was hesitant at first. She would take over 24 hours to respond back to Sam’s texts. Sam was persistent though, and after weeks of talking he asked her out on a date. Their first date was at Wendy’s favorite restaurant, Island’s. By the third date, Wendy knew Sam was special. It took Sam by the fourth date to feel the same. And the rest is history......

Wendy always thought she would know when Sam was going to propose. Looking back on this day, she can say with 100% certainty that she had no clue. Sam went out of his way to surprise her with the most perfect proposal. On March 27th, Wendy was easily convinced she was having a typical double date at the park with her best friend and fiancé. When Wendy walked through the park she even went as far as to point at the proposal set-up with what was thought of as random people. She continued to mention how cute it was that someone was getting engaged. Completely still oblivious, Sam pulled her arm and walked her to the direction of the proposal set-up. That is when Wendy realized that the random people were actually her family and that she was the one getting engaged to. She responded with “already?!” It was the most special surprise and by far the best day of her life.
