Best Man
Shyam and Prasad met in 1992. Prasad stole his toy, bonked him on the head, and asked his parents to return him to the hospital. Shyam probably cried about it. They have since worked out their issues.
Bridesmaid
Caylin and Wendy met in elementary school when they were both 5 years old. They spent summers together riding horses, attending sleepaway camp, and riding around in Caylin's volvo singing (badly) to whiney early 2000s rock music.
Groomsman
Raj and Prasad are cousins, but more importantly have been on and off rec sports teammates for years. Prasad made a bunch of errors at shortstop playing softball in London while Raj returned the favor by dropping easy touchdown passes from Prasad in their New York football league.
Bridesmaid
Julia and Wendy met in the 8th grade and became instant best friends. Julia is undoubtedly Wendy's coolest friend. In fact, Wendy thought Julia was so cool that she followed her from High School to the University of Virginia and (eventually) to New York City.
Groomsman
Kyle and Prasad have been friends since high school. They spent most of their time getting lost on the way to baseball tournaments and building things that could have blown up their parents houses.
Bridesmaid
Nicole and Wendy met in college when Nicole joined a debating society Wendy was a member of. Nicole and Wendy bonded over their mutual love of strong whiskey, old books, and debating until 3 in the morning.
Groomsman
Charlie and Prasad were classmates in business school and good friends when they moved to New York. Prasad is jealous of Charlie's travel-hacking ability when he sits in coach. Charlie is probably jealous of Prasad's golf game when he looks for his ball in the woods.
Bridesmaid
Elise and Wendy met when they moved into the Woodrow apartments their 3rd year of college. Wendy was instantly impressed by Elise's ability to apply eye shadow, make a solid quesadilla, and knit a professional quality scarf.
Groomsman
Anthony and Prasad met in business school while simultaneously 'Irish-exiting' a party. While they did ruin each other's plans that evening, they did eventually become friends, neighbors, and golf buddies.
Bridesmaid
Jamisen (will also answer to Jamie or JJ) is Wendy's favorite female cousin, who at this point feels more like a best friend. Ever since finding out that 8-year-old Jamie pretended to still believe in Santa so as to not spoil 7-year-old Wendy's Christmas, Wendy knew she could always count on Jamie.
Groomsman
Kevin and Prasad were dorm neighbors their freshman year of college and roommates after that. Prasad likes to describe Kevin as "the guy that would start off his bachelor party by entering everyone into a 5k".
Bridesmaid
Emily and Wendy met in the dorm bathroom at UVA, after Emily had fashioned a ``will work for a good home" sign on Wendy's abandoned electronic toothbrush. Wendy found this hilarious and thought, ``I need to be friends with this girl". Luckily, a spot opened up in Emily's apartment and Wendy became the second `Woodrow girl'.
Groomsman
Steve and Prasad met in business school and spent most of their time in bars talking about random physics stuff that interested them. After enough margaritas, Prasad could pretend like he actually knew something.
Bridesmaid
Vishwa and Wendy met on the first day of Economics 101 and instantly became study partners and eventually best friends. For her help that semester, Vishwa is largely credited with Wendy's eventual career as an economist. Vishwa moved in with Wendy, Emily, and Elise her 4th year of college, thus becoming the fourth `Woodrow girl'.
