How We Met
First comes school, then comes marriage
We met our sophomore year in high school in English class. Junior year, we both joined EVIT and shared a bus ride to and from, Monday through Friday. Slowly our friendship grew stronger and stronger. By senior year, we were inseparable, sharing every class together. Jose asked Wendy to our senior prom and the rest is history.
The Proposal
Lucky Number 7
On November 11, 2018, on our 7 year dating anniversary, Jose took Wendy for a celebratory dinner at Compass Arizona Grill, a rotating restaurant on the 24th floor of Hyatt Regency that overlooks all of downtown Phoenix. As our seats rotated to a gleaming view of the sunset, Jose got down on one knee and asked Wendy to be his forever.
