The Beaches
Our beaches are easily accessible and great for walking any time of day. Check out Beaches Town Center (not a plaza) for shopping, restaurants, live music, etc.
Historic St Augustine
Only 45 minutes from Jacksonville Beach. Take A1A for a scenic drive. We recommend - - Historic Downtown Parking Facility (paid parking). Very short walk to Old City. - Walk along Matanzas Bay waterfront. - There are many good restaurants but a few of our favorites - - Columbia Restaurant - St. George Street - Fort & Post - beautiful view of Matanzas Bay - 12 Avenida Menendez - Cousteau's Waffle and Milkshake Bar - OMG. The BEST! - 15 Hypolita St
Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens
We have a great zoo with beautiful gardens. If you only have a few hours, strongly recommend taking the train to the far side of the zoo to see the Asian Gardens and Land of the Tiger.

Take in a bit of history of the Jacksonville Beaches -- and pick up information on other fun things to do at The Beaches.
Southbank Riverwalk
The St. John's River is truly spectacular. Southbank Riverwalk includes Friendship Fountain and the Museum of Science and History. Take a river taxi to the stadium or downtown. Not uncommon to see dolphins.
