We had met at one of the many parties hosted at the Whittier house. We believe it was Johnny’s 21st birthday, where I (Wendy) was bartending and Frankie was there with Anahi and the rest of their family. Although this is the first time we were introduced, this isn’t where our story officially begins. It wasn’t until two years later after we were both single and ready to mingle, when the opportunity to go salsa dancing came to fruition. Johnny, Anahi, Frankie, and I set off for a night full of fun and surprises, for all of us. For the next few weeks, what I kept insisting was just going to be some fun, Frankie knew it was going to be more than that. And on the one month anniversary of our first social outing, Frankie sealed the deal with the ultimate romantic gesture. While working from home, a very large and breathtakingly beautiful bouquet arrived at my door with a carefully thought out note, four words that changed the trajectury of our relationship forever… “Just let it happen” And so… I did. We’ve traveled, laughed, cried, loved, lost, experienced life, death, and everything in between. And although we drive each other crazy sometimes, there isn’t anyone else we’d rather go through the rest of our lives with. As we celebrate our son's third birthday and our seven year anniversary, we invite you, our closest friends and family, to bear witness to the promise we will make to each other, to continue to fight for the love and family we have built throughout the years.
