It started with a phone call. . . "Can you fly across the country on short notice to stand with me at my wedding?" A simple phone call changed the lives of two young people that even the entire country could not keep apart. Arriving at the chapel for the wedding rehearsal a Seabee was hanging upside down from a tree branch over the sidewalk and cupids arrow hit its mark. For the next 6 days the two were inseparable and were in tears when the time came for all the country to come between them. Off to the other side the Marine went alone and heartbroken. Joy was renewed 3 months later when the young lovers came together for a short reunion. They decided then and there it had to be forever after for this story. A short 3 months later they solidified their love and their Happily Ever After began. It is now 50 years, 4 children and many many grandchildren later and their Happily Ever After is still Happily Ever After.
