We are getting Married

We met at an event called The Bridal Affair in Bozeman, Montana on Saturday, January 24th, 2011. This event was hosted at the Brick Breeden Field house at Montana State University. Bobby was selected to model tuxedos for a company called Persnickety while I was doing an obligatory appearance as Mrs. Montana 2010. I was finishing my year as a public figure with this being one of my very last appearance events. We met and became casual acquaintances for a number of years. Bobby was just finishing up his bachelors degree in English with a minor in Native American studies and preparing himself to travel abroad and see the world. In his early and mid-twenties he managed to travel to 5 continents and various countries which gave him a humbling understanding of our vast world. I finished my year as Mrs. Montana 2010 and continued to focus on my career as a Nurse Manager and devoted my time to raising my two young children. From the moment we met, we knew there was some kind of an unspoken connection. At that time, we didn't know what it was or how it would even turn out. We spent many years casually saying hi and had a nice friendship. Years later, Bobby had taken a trip with his family to Africa. He was on safari and became extremely humbled by witnessing a family of majestic elephants crossing the Sabi river. It was in this moment, when he began to think of Lilly, Boston, and Me. Bobby and I had no connection for quite some time when I randomly reached out to him while he was in Africa, just as he began to think of me! This is a story that we have shared numerous times with family and friends and it still amazes us to this day, that we were thinking of each other at the very exact same moment! When Bobby returned from Africa, we became closer friends. We were friends for many months before we decided upon a true and devoted relationship. It was from that moment, we knew in our hearts that we were meant to share the rest of our lives together.

Bobby and I have traveled to many beautiful places but nothing is as quite as beautiful as Montana. He decided to propose to me at the top of a beautiful mountain overlooking Paradise Valley on July 30th, 2017. He planned a surprise weekend getaway to a completely remote glass house that you can only get to by a pilot car. Once we reached the very top, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife! It was the most amazing moment of our lives!
