What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi formal. The ceremony is being held outdoors and you'll be walking across a lawn, avoid traditional heels that will likely get stuck in the grass. Men should wear a dress shirt and slacks with the option to wear a tie. Semi-formal also translates to shorter hemlines, bold prints, or elevated separates like a festive top paired with tailored dress pants. The idea basically is that our wedding guests should put on something nice without going out to purchase an expensive gown or rent a tux.

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Both will be at Frog pond B&B. The reception will be in a carriage barn indoors.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

What happens after the ceremony? After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception area where cocktail hour will take place by the tented bar. We will be serving finger foods and beverages and our DJ will be playing some background music.

What if I can’t make it to the wedding?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive and where do I park?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive an hour before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the party started as scheduled. There is a parking area next to the venue that will have “park here” signs and someone to guide you in. There is ample parking for this venue and it is free.

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event, with a few exceptions within our wedding party, so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

We have a block of rooms at the Tru Hilton in Camillus, NY. Contact us for more details on the block. There are also some options that may be available in Auburn or Skaneateles for an overnight stay that is close by to the venue. The area does book up fast for Columbus weekend so the sooner you book the better.

Two months before the wedding. August 8th 2022

Question

Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Answer

We will have cocktail hour with finger foods after the ceremony. Then, the main dinner will be buffet style with such dishes as: Soup and sandwich, pulled pork, ranch chicken taco bowls, sweet potato casserole as well as deserts like cupcakes, pumpkin rolls, apple pie and more. Drink selections will be bottled water, coffee, hot cocoa/apple cider, soda, wine, hard cider and beer.
