If you're not familiar with New York City, we encourage you to download the MTA NYC app - it's free, and it has real-time status of subways and buses. The closest subway stops are: 51st street on the 6 local train on the Lexington Avenue line (the green one). 53rd street on the E (blue) and F (orange) trains. The closest bus stops are: Southbound M1, and M4 at 5th Avenue and West 52nd Street Southbound M2, M3, and M5 at 5th Avenue and West 50th Street Southbound BxM1, M101, M102, and M103 at Lexington Avenue and East 50th Street Crosstown M50 Eastbound at 5th Avenue and East 50th Street Crosstown M50 Westbound at Madison Avenue and East 49th Street Northbound M1, M2, M3, and M4 buses are all on the block between East 49th and East 50th Streets. The M3 and M4 are at the stop on the southern end of the block, and the M1 and M2 are on the northern end. Northbound M101, M102, and M103 are at a stop between East 50th Street and East 49th Street on 3rd Avenue.
There is a parking garage on 51st Street between 3rd Avenue and Lexington, but it's pricey.
