We’re getting married!

We have known each other since the 8th grade. We didn’t start talking as friends till about freshman year in highschool. We had a few classes together & both of our last names start with a W so we always got sat next to each other. Side note: ( we always thought each other was cute but we never said anything about it cause we were so shy.. ) One day in Foods class Jake goes “hey look at my new phone its pretty cool huh? .. but i just realized that i dont have your number in it?” He thought he was being fly.. (which worked for me 😉) i go “oh well i better put that in there huh?” & honestly the rest is history.. we talked every day after that & then he finally asked me to be his girlfriend summer of 2012 on june 25th.. itll be a day we’ll always remember. 🤍

It was Christmas Eve 2019.. I was at my parents house & Jake had to work late that day. My family & i were eating, playing games, laughing.. all the things. Jake finally gets off, pulls up, comes inside, says hi to everyone & right away my mama fixes him a plate of food. When i say that boy ate that meal SO FAST.. i MEAN FAST. 😂 The nerves kicked in.. ( but i just thought he was hungry cause he worked all day ) … a little time goes by, my sis Jaz asks me to braid her hair, i say sure.. so we headed into the bathroom, her husband yells “ Babe, i need you for a second! Can you come here ?” She tells me “ oh sis nevermind about the braid we will do it later, lets go.” So i follow her out of the bathroom, goes down the hall & all the lights were off besides a light up sign that said “Marry Me” right by the Christmas Tree.. I stopped, started crying immediately, everyone.. mom, dad, my 2 sisters, gram, brother in law all standing with thier phones out.. crying.. & Jake on one knee.. “Will you marry me ?” After saying Yes, we popped some champagne, took all the pictures.. & one thing i wont forget about that night is that Jake whispered in my ear after i said yes & said “ itll always be you, i love you baby.” ✨
