Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Austin McDonnell and Alex Fulton
We're so excited to share a few of our favorite spots in Atlanta with you!

Emmy Squared Pizza

1009 Marietta Street NorthWest, Atlanta, GA 30318

A NYC outpost serving Detroit-style pizza. It's our go-to. Be sure to order the off-menu Emmy!

Forza Storico

1198 Howell Mill Road, Atlanta, GA 30318

A lively Italian restaurant with a fantastic outdoor patio space. The grilled octopus appetizer is a sleeper hit. And be sure to try the cacio e pepe!

Taqueria Del Sol

1200-B Howell Mill Road Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30318

Come for the queso blanco and be sure to wash it down with a Westside margarita on the rocks.

Kyma

3085 Piedmont Road Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30305

Our neighborhood favorite - elevated greek food with chic decor. We love their mezze, ceviche, and lamb chops. Perfect place to share a bunch of small plates with a group!

Bones

3130 Piedmont Road Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30305

An institution, and arguably the best old school style steakhouse in ATL. Bring your appetite! Editor's note: they make an excellent martini.

OK Cafe

1284 West Paces Ferry Road Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30327

Second to Waffle House, the best diner breakfast in ATL.

Flying Biscuit Café

1001 Piedmont Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30309

Come for breakfast, stay for the fluffy biscuits. Located in the heart of Midtown at the intersection of 10th and Piedmont, be sure to check out the rainbow crosswalks that are a sign of Atlanta's LGBTQ+ pride. Note: they don't take online reservations so be sure to go on the earlier side.

Politan Row at Colony Square

1197 Peachtree Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30361

An upscale food hall with a full service cocktail bar in the heart of the room! This is located within walking distance from the hotel blocks in Midtown.

Piedmont Park

Atlanta, GA 30309

Walking distance from the Midtown hotel blocks, we highly recommend taking a walk around the park! Sean's Heart of the Park is an excellent pit stop for a coffee and/or a sandwich.

The Atlanta Beltline Eastside Trail

Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail, Atlanta, GA 30312

The Atlanta BeltLine is one of the largest, most wide-ranging urban redevelopment programs in the United States. It's a network of public parks, multi-use trails, transit, and affordable housing along a historic 22-mile railroad corridor. Bring your walking shoes!

Krog Street Market

99 Krog Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30307

On the Atlanta Beltline, there's a food hall, retail, and plenty to do. Recommend getting dropped off by Uber, walking the beltline up to Ponce City Market and back (about 2 miles total), and then coming back to Krog to explore the market and find whatever meal you're craving.

Atlanta Botanical Garden

1345 Piedmont Avenue Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30309

Weather permitting, this garden is exceptional!

SweetWater Brewing Company

195 Ottley Drive Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30324

Nationally distributed, but HQ'd in Atlanta.

High Museum of Art

1280 Peachtree Street Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30309

Walking distance from the hotel blocks in Midtown - the High Museum has an excellent program. Special exhibitions that will be on display over our wedding weekend include: In the City of Light: Paris, 1850-1920 // This exhibition serves as an illustrated guide through the architecture, people, and culture of the dynamic, visionary French capital during the latter half of the nineteenth century and into the twentieth century.

The Painted Pin

737 Miami Circle Northeast, Atlanta, GA 30324

If you want to sneak in some bowling. Alex hustled Marjette and Patrick here.

World of Coca-Cola

121 Baker Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30313

The mothership.

Georgia Aquarium

225 Baker Street Northwest, Atlanta, GA 30313

The Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta is the largest aquarium in the world (!) housing more than 100,000 sea creatures. Funded mostly by a $250 million donation from Home Depot co-founder Bernie Marcus, the aquarium opened in November 2005. The Georgia Aquarium is the only institution outside of Asia to house whale sharks. Tickets aren't cheap, but it's absolutely worth a visit.

Amicalola Falls State Park

418 Amicalola Falls State Park Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534

An incredibly scenic hike for those looking to stretch their legs. Amicalola Falls is known for its 729-foot waterfall - the third-highest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River. Be sure to reserve about 90 minutes travel time to and from the park.

Oakland Cemetery

248 Oakland Avenue Southeast, Atlanta, GA 30312

Oakland Cemetery is the home of ATL locals like Margaret Mitchell, Bobby Jones, and Kenny Rogers. One of the largest green spaces in Atlanta, it's a beautiful place to tour!
