We met almost four years ago working at separate coffee shops on campus! Sam and I quickly became good friends and realized we went to the same church; Redemption Flagstaff! After hanging out for a few weeks Sam had mentioned to me that he needed a job for the summer, and that's when I told him he should apply to be a summer staffer at UCYC, a christian camp in Prescott that I worked at. I did not expect him to do so, but Sam followed me to Prescott with the intention of wanting to date me. I on the other hand had no idea that's how he felt, and didn't feel the same way. So I strung him along all summer long as just a friend. Then when we both moved back to Flagstaff we worked at a restaurant together on campus, were interns together at our church, and spent all of our free time together. It took me 7 months to realize that Sam was the one, but there was beauty in just being friends for so long, we got to truly know each other, see the other persons hearts for Jesus, and watch the other serve not only one another but our community. I'm glad that we slowly became best friends and wouldn't have wanted it any other way. When we finally started dating I knew Sam was the one, I said "I love you" 3 days into dating! I was crazy, but I also knew God had given me the best person in the world to spend my life with. Finally here we are almost 4 years later finally being able to say I Do!
