Is the aquarium open to the public during the wedding?

Nope! It'll just be guests of the Wellman Wedding - ours to explore and enjoy!

The Seattle Aquarium is big - what building are we in?

Answer

For indoor activities, you'll want to head to the Pier 59 building.

What about parking?

Answer

You can park at the Pike Place Market Parking Garage at 1531 Western Ave; it's across the street from the Seattle Aquarium.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The venue has indoor and outdoor spaces. Weather permitting, the ceremony will take place outside on the pier behind the aquarium overlooking the water, with the remaining events indoors. Should we get rain, the ceremony will shift indoors.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Great question! Mid-September can be unpredictable, but it's often in the low 70s and relatively mild. It's usually a good idea to bring a layer or two, just in case things get chilly near the water.

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail, semi-formal, and formal attire are all welcome. We're not particularly interested in a strict dress code, so please wear what you love!

Are kids invited to the wedding?

Answer

It was a hard decision, but we ultimately decided that kids should sit this one out. We're hoping parents will be able to use this as a date night excuse! If you need any help finding accommodations, please let us know.
