We're getting married!

Tyler has been friends with my older brother Jayson for what seems like forever. Jayson and Tyler got into all kinds of trouble when they were teenagers (seriously, just ask them for a story). Later on he was roommates with my older sister Jessica. Tyler loved to tease both of my siblings that he was going to date their baby sister one day. A little over six years ago we started hanging out more and watching Game of Thrones together (Alex was a favorite character 😉). We finally started officially dating on July 6th, 2015.

We went on a cruise vacation with a small group of friends and my siblings. The first formal night we all met for drinks at the bar in the Central Park area and agreed to take a group picture of all of us in our fancy clothes. After we took the picture Tyler grabbed my hand and pulled me ahead a little in the pathway. He then got down on one knee, at which point I said "Are you serious?" Tyler pulled out the ring and then I said "Yes!" followed by him asking me if I would marry him, so I said "Yes!" again. Luckily our photographer friend was there to capture the night on camera (thanks AJ!). **Tyler's version involves me asking "are you serious?" repeatedly and only saying yes once, either way YES
