FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

There ceremony will take place at 4pm and is located at The Forest behind The Lockstone. Due to parking and the walk back there, arriving approximately 30-45 minutes before the ceremony starts should be sufficient.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Wear what is comfortable for you and something that you will feel comfortable dancing the night away. Sundresses, polo shirts and slacks, or semi-formal attire are all fine. We are just excited to celebrate our day with you!

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

As long as the weather allows, the ceremony will take place outside under the cover of trees in the back section of The Lockstone. You will have to walk through a stone parking lot followed by grass as you make your way to the seating in The Forest, so please plan your footwear accordingly. If we have to make concessions due to weather, the ceremony will take place indoors. Cocktail hour and the reception will take place indoors. However, there will be a fire lit just outside the reception doors, weather permitting.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

We hope for sun, but the typical weather in July for this area is approximately 80F. There will be a slight walk from the reception hall to the ceremony area and back.

Question

What will the wedding-day timeline look like?

Answer

On the website, there is a section showing the timeline of events. Feel free to browse the various added sections for this information. However, a generic timeline will be that the ceremony starts at 4pm and the dancing should conclude around 11:30pm.

Question

Is there parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes! It would be helpful to carpool as much as possible though to help with the parking availability.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we love children and adore your families, a select few children are invited to participate in the ceremony, and most will depart after dinner. We would love for the adults to have a worry-free night and enjoy themselves as they dance the night away.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

No, there will be a cash bar. Drinks are $5 each (it doesn't matter what drink you choose). The venue does impose a no shot rule along with no doubles.

Question

I have dietary restrictions/allergies. What's the best way to let you know?

Answer

Please feel free to reach out to Amanda at (585)815-3752 via text and she will coordinate with the caterer when applicable.

Question

Are there hotels or accommodations for staying the night in the area?

Answer

Of course! On this wedding website, there are a wide array of accommodations ranging from AirBnb's, VRBO's and hotels - all with a short drive or walk away. Please plan your stay if needed to ensure vacancies are available that suits you.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We would prefer for the ceremony to be cellphone free so you can enjoy yourselves and allow our two photographers to work their magic with the photos during this part of the day. Feel free to take photos at any other part of the wedding and post them to social media - as long as you tag us in them or send us the photos! We will also have a QR code for a "disposable camera" app to allow you to share photos throughout the night as well, that we will have access to later. We look forward to seeing the photos you upload!

Question

What is the best way to RSVP?

Answer

Scan the QR code right on your invitation or go to the website listed on the invitation. Click on RSVP, type in your first and last name, and it will allow you to RSVP to our wedding. If you are still having problems, please reach out to Amanda Wells at (585)815-3752. Please be courteous when texting/calling, as with all weddings, we have had to set a limit on the number of people we invited due to budgetary constraints. If asking for an additional seat, we may not be able to accommodate the request.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP (yes or no) by May 1, 2025 so we can ensure we have enough seating available.

Question

I can't attend the wedding in person. Will there be a virtual wedding celebration?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. We will show pictures to anyone who was not able to be a part of our day, if requested.

Question

Do you have a wedding registry?

Answer

Yes! Zola has made everything convenient with this wedding website. Feel free to peruse the website for the registry section.

Question

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Answer

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.
