Seairah and Simone met in 9th grade history as the only two black girls in the class. Seairah has been Simones ride or die ever since. While our lives may look different, we always come together to have each other’s backs through anything.

Hailing from Chicago, IL, Kenderick was introduced to the groom as roommates at Southern Illinois University in 2014. Kenderick served as an educator for our groom of Chicago culture do’s and don’ts and also lended an ear for a groom living in a new state with no connection. He is a welcomed addition to groomsmen

Imani and Simone have been “sisters” since diapers. While life has pulled them in different directions at times, Imani has managed to show up and be present for every major life moment in Simones life. While not sisters by blood, we are sisters through time

Though it may look like size wise Kevin is the kid play brother of the Groom. Originally neighbors Kevin has as the groom confidence booster time and time again. Kevin is technically the grooms first friend and is always ready for an intellectual conversation.
Amanda Davis
Bridesmaid
Amanda from Chicago, IL met our groom at Southern Illinois University and served as the annoying but lovable kid sister the groom never had. Amanda doesn’t let anything or anyone hold her back and tell you exactly how it is. Amanda has become friends with the bride always taking her side of the bride if the groom and bride need a tie breaker. She will be rooting for team Azim as a bridesmaid.

Simone met Cole freshman year of college singing in Dynamic praise. Since then he has been her little big brother aka chicken biscuit. They have grown together and have lost together. “The friendship bond we have created has gotten us through years of grief and I am so thankful that now we can enter a season of happiness and continued growth.”- Simone
