Yes. The Washington Civic Center has its own private parking lot located on the west side of the building.

Question

will the wedding be indoors, outdoors, or both?

Answer

Our wedding will be entirely indoors.

Question

What type of food will be served?

Answer

We will be having a spread of tasty appetizers as our main course provided by local Washington, NC restaurant Shep's Grill. Dessert will include mini bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes. Gluten-free options will be available.

Question

Is there an open bar?

Answer

Drinks will be provided by the Bride and Groom. Drink options will consist of several different beer and wine choices, as well as several non-alcoholic beverage options. You are also more than welcome to bring your own light beverages as there is a fully equipped kitchen to keep your brews cold. Liquor is NOT PERMITTED at our venue. PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBLY.

Question

Can we take pictures and videos?

Answer

YES!! In fact we encourage you to! Please use hashtag #thedayshewentgray when posting your photos on Facebook or anywhere else. You can also post the photos to our Facebook Group "Gray Wedding 1.4.25" We will also have a photobooth set up at the venue that will send photos directly to your phone, so please use that as much as possible! We want to remember everything and everyone who shared our special day with us!! <3 <3 <3

Question

Where should we bring gifts?

Answer

There will be a gift table located near the entrance to the venue for those who wish to bring one. Nothing is expected, but we are thankful to any we shall receive.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please arrive around 3:00 PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:33 PM.

Question

will there be a gap between ceremony and reception?

Answer

The Bride and Groom will step out after the ceremony with immediate family to take post-ceremony photos. During this time (roughly an hour), please help yourself to drinks and our photo booth. Please take lots and lots of photos!

Question

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW?

Answer

There are some things we are doing differently than traditional weddings. When you arrive you will notice there are no chairs at any of the round tables. After the ceremony, we ask that you (or a helper) tote your chair to your table to clear the previous ceremony area for a upcoming dance floor! At 8 PM, the Bride and the Groom will have exactly 1 hour to take down decorations and exit the venue. Although it is by no means required, any guest that would like to stay and help clear the venue with the Bride and Groom would be more than appreciated! The more people who volunteer their time the quicker we can head to our honeymoon :)
