They say that opposites attract, and for Tyler and I that couldn't be more true! We first met at the gym in winter 2015. I was coming back from college for winter break and Tyler just started working at the gym that my family has been going to for many years. We were introduced to one another and made small talk for the next 6 months, but that was about it. It wasn't long until summer rolled around and Tyler finally made the move to ask me on our first date to no other than Hammond, Indiana for a boxing match. Who would have thought that would seal the deal?! Ever since that day, Tyler and I couldn't stand to be apart. Friends and family were introduced to one other and memories were starting to be made together. We knew right away that there was something special about our relationship that we couldn't ignore.
Fast forward 3 years... Who knew the snowiest day in April would change our lives forever! We settled into our new life together living in Arlington Heights and impatiently awaiting a corgi puppy to start our little family. What I thought was an ordinary Saturday, going to the gym and binge watching Game of Thrones became the complete opposite. We were planning to go out for a date night that quickly turned into a bigger surprise. As we were driving to what I thought was dinner, we pulled into the place where we had our first kiss and I knew at that moment what was about to happen. After million questions to Tyler, he popped THE question and of course I said "YES!" About a year into dating, Tyler once told me that he would "change my street sign the day he changes my last name" and he did just that. My old street sign spelled "Stark" was now read "Starke". When I thought the day couldn't get any better, he surprised me with an engagement party of all of our family and friends at our favorite restaurant to celebrate. It was a day full of love that we will never forget! You all have played such an important role in our relationship and we couldn't be more thankful for all of the support, love and happiness you have surrounded us with. We are truly grateful! We cannot wait to celebrate this day with you all! Cheers to July 18th, 2020! #WelcometotheStarkeSide
