And The Two Shall Become ONE

Nigel happened to pop up as a friend suggestion on Facebook, and so I knew I wanted to meet him. Lucky for us, we both had a mutual friend who agreed to introduce us. We met in March of 2011 at an event on Clemson Campus and had our first date a few weeks later. After talking, we realized we were both from Columbia and actually had a lot of friends in common! After a while we were just inseparable! And now, over 8 years later, we are getting married!

The big proposal date was set for just two weeks before Bria was heading to Brazil with one of her classes. The main challenge was how to get her to Columbia from Charlotte, along with getting all of our closest friends and family all to one location to help celebrate. As many people know, the Dodge Challenger is her dream car, so I rented one for the weekend and told her I had planned a fun day trip to spend time together before she headed out of the country. After a long car ride from Charlotte and a lot of question dodging, we ended up at 1801 in downtown Columbia. As soon as Bria walked into the room and saw our friends and families all standing, she started crying, assuming it was a going away celebration. That was when I got on one knee and asked her to be my wife. Spoiler alert, she said yes!
