It’s happening!

Alex started working with Rachel at Brother Bonaventure in Elizabeth as the new and very much needed NP (Nurse Practitioner) near the end of 2014. Rachel had been there for a year working as a charge nurse. After a whole year of working together, and Alex’s overlooked pick up lines, Rachel finally realized that Alex liked her! A few more smooth moves and he scored his first date!

It was Mother’s Day weekend! With Rachel’s birthday and a Mexico trip coming in a few weeks, Rachel was sure she had time to get her nails done in time for the big proposal. Early that day Alex took Rachel, Isabelle and Kayla out for Mother’s Day brunch at Haven in Edgewater. After working the night shift before, Rachel was looking forward to eating a nice and yummy meal then diving into a very deep sleep at home. An engagement proposal was the last thing on Rachel’s mind. Alex on the other hand, was very stressed. Initially, his proposal idea would be set in Mexico- on the beach, after dinner with music and getting down on one knee- with the sweet summer breeze to set the scene. Sneaking the engagement ring through TSA would be tough. Plus he couldn’t wait! The proposal had to be today on Mother’s Day! Right after brunch on the dock overlooking the NYC skyline. Most importantly in the presence of Isabelle and Kayla, again on one knee with a cooler breeze in the air. Unfortunately it was raining very hard and the dock was closed! Also Rachel transitioned into zombie mode! Alex was still determined. Rachel soon went upstairs to get ready for her nap. Unsure why Alex was in a very nervous disposition, she brushed it off and was set to drift off to lala land. Alex kept talking and talking , going on with really sentimental and sweet words. With one eye opened she saw him get down on one knee- with the most beautiful ring EVER! Rachel immediately said yes to marrying a man who is perfect in every way for her! No nap was needed, full blown excitement in the air-and the wedding planning began!!!!!!

7/11/19 The wedding ceremony will be at Our Lady of the Visitation Parish in Paramus, NJ @3pm. Reception to follow at the Estate at Florentine Gardens in Rivervale @7pm.
