November 17th, 2017 was a magical day on the Oregon Coast marking ten years of timeless love shared between Michelle and Mark. The ever curious couple set off for a hike on a brisk morning in Ecola State Park, a place of ancient wonder. The air was crisp, sun rays beaming blindly through the leaden clouds. Amidst their treacherous descent down the sloping hillside two majestic eagles soared overhead, good energy was resonating in the air. Arriving at the deserted seashore, they were greeted by a tremendous wave which propelled a palatable amount of salt into their vicinity. The lighthearted lovers enjoyed a peaceful lunch together, later scavenging what treasures and trilobites remained on the Ecola littoral. Weary of the ominous rain cloud rolling in, Mark suggested they re-enact one of their classic rituals. Flotsam, feathers, and other fillers were lit on fire before Mark set up the camera for a self-timer photo. Michelle danced and frolicked atop an erratic as Mark secretly starting filming the boulder’s facade. Walking at a suspiciously slow pace, Mark rehearsed the peculiar poem he had constructed for Michelle in his head. Oblivious to the operation, Michelle urged Mark to “hurry up”. Without further adieu Mark dropped to one knee, recited the poem, and revelled in Michelle’s sacred response of “YES”!
