Flight
The John Wayne Airport in Santa Ana is the closest airport to the wedding venue (20 miles, 30 minutes depending on traffic). This is a smaller airport, but does service roundtrip flights across the United States and Canada. We prefer this airport, and recommend it if you can find a flight that works from your departure location.
Flight
LAX is the airport with the most high volume of flights going in and out. It is 60 miles from the wedding venue (1.5 hours depending on traffic). Give yourself extra time upon arrival to and departure from LAX (that three hours ahead will actually benefit you here).
Flight
Long Beach Airport is 40 miles and 45 minutes from the venue depending on traffic. They primarily work with Southwest Airlines and are more limited in the cities they serve, but it's another small airport that might serve you well depending on where you're flying from.

Travel Note
Southern California is known for the 8 lane highways and abundant traffic, it's true! We recommend renting a car if you plan to explore the area. Importantly, though, it is possible to get around with a mix of public transportation (LA Metro, OC Bus, etc) and rideshare apps or taxis if that is your preference. There's also the Coast Starlight Amtrak train line that runs from Seattle King Street Station to Los Angeles Union Station, and the Pacific Surfliner Amtrak train line that runs from San Louis Obispo to San Diego.
