Question

Why St. Augustine?!

Answer

From Hannah - My mom, Chris, was born and raised in St. Augustine Beach, and most of her family still lives in the St. Augustine/Jacksonville area. I grew up taking summer trips to Florida, always to celebrate the 4th of July. I have the best memories of fireworks on the beach, playing with my cousins at my Gramma and Papa's house, and riding four wheelers on my Aunt and Uncle's farm. Brock has joined us on many of the annual trips that we still take to visit family in St. Augustine, and we knew we wanted to get married somewhere significant to our families and to us. We can't wait to share the beautiful beaches and history of St. Augustine with all of you!

Question

Is there transportation to and from the Welcome Party on Friday?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided for the Welcome Party at the Embassy Suites St. Augustine Beach. We encourage guests to Uber or Valet Park at the hotel.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the ceremony on Saturday?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided to the Fountain of Youth - we recommend taking an Uber or driving and parking at the venue. However, at the end of the reception, transportation will be provided from the Fountain of Youth to Downtown St. Augustine to continue the celebration! If you park at the Fountain of Youth, please note that the gates will be LOCKED at 11:00pm. Cars may be left overnight in the parking lot and retrieved in the morning when the park opens at 9:00am.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the Brunch on Sunday?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided for the Sunday Brunch. Parking is limited at the beach house - we encourage people to ride together or park across A1A on the other side of Oak Avenue. Be careful crossing A1A!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Children are wonderful, but parents deserve a break every so often. Thus, the ceremony and reception are adults-only!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are black tie optional - we love a tux, but don't feel obligated to wear one! Men should feel comfortable in a suit or tux. Women should feel comfortable in long, midi or short dresses with shoes suitable for a ceremony on grass. A light sweater or wrap is recommended once the sun goes down.

Question

What weather can be expected in St. Augustine in March?

Answer

The average high-temperature during March is 73 degrees during the day, with an average low-temperature of 53 degrees in the evening. The ceremony is outdoors and the reception is indoor-outdoors - a sweater or wrap is recommended.
