Matron of Honor
Laura is my one and only sister. We had our ups and downs as kids, but after going to Virginia Tech at the same time our friendship really blossomed (much to our mom's delight). We have bonded as adults over a mutual love of traveling and Oregon pinot noir (among other things)! Love you sissy and can't wait to have you by my side :)
Co-Best Man
I was 4 (or maybe 5?) when Kenny and his younger brother Jonathan started going to our church. 28 years later and the rest is history, hundreds of childhood sleepovers, starting a fantasy football league, playing any game or sport either real or invented on the spot; homeschool classes together, community college classes together, football games, and finally weddings! Your wedding two years ago, and now mine!
Bridesmaid / Officiant
Meaghan has been one of my best friends since moving out to Colorado and has helped me through some tough times (although I would never say any of those things to her face). We are delighted to have Meaghan officiate our wedding (she spends a lot of time with both Jonathan and me since we maybe single handedly have kept her alive during the pandemic by feeding her). Meaghan has begrudgingly accepted her role of bridesmaid (just kidding, I think she's excited) since it comes along with being officiant!
Co-Best Man
Jonathan, well same exact story as Kenny haha! Jonathan was part of the childhood foursome of Kenny, myself, Jonathan, and my younger brother Michael. A sleepover at the Schuenemeyer household was the highlight of my childhood. Not only do we share first names, but also both decided to attend military schools for undergrad (shared insanity?), as well as shared experiences of military life and living far from home. I was so happy to be a part of his wedding and now I'm so happy he will be a part of mine!
Bridesmaid
Megan is my OG bff. She approached me on the playground in 4th grade because she liked my french braids and the rest is history (no joke). Megan and her parents have been like family to me for the past 24 (!!) years (wow that's a long time!). I'm super excited to have Megan standing up with me on the big day!
Groomsman
The first day of my first job in Denver, Chad asked if wanted to ski Steamboat Springs one weekend, I immediately knew this guy was fun! Sure enough, we have similar attitudes about life and he is one of the only people I know who when I asked if he wanted to go skiing in Japan, it was an instant yes. If there is a fun place to go or fun thing to do Chad is doing it, and it's wonderful to find a friend who shares that attitude with me. "If you aren't crashing, then you aren't skiing fast enough." - Chad Weaver
Bridesmaid
Rachel and I met at Virginia Tech because I was friends with her now husband, Nathan. I studied abroad one semester and came back to Nathan having a new girlfriend that he told me I HAD to meet. Well I sure am glad that Nathan started dating Rachel :) Rachel is such a caring and supportive person and I'm lucky to have her as one of my best friends!
Groomsman
Older brother, first best friend, ringleader of all things sports or board games while growing up! Tim is where it all started! He got me into playing street hockey with our neighbors... ...now playing hockey has become a lifelong activity for me! Listening to his favorite bands that became my favorite bands... ...now listening to music and playing guitar are some of my favorite things to do! Hours of board games in our bedroom... ...now game night is one of my favorite friend group activities! Tim taught me how to ride a bike, and how to bowl, and I taught him how to drop a bowling ball on someone's foot :)
Bridesmaid
Jen was my first friend that I made in Colorado after meeting while both playing on the PwC kickball team. Then Jen invited me over to her apartment to help her set up her grill (which was a one-man job for the record). We realized we had a lot in common (besides work and kickball) and we both needed a friend since neither of us knew very many people in Denver after moving here around the same time (only sort of kidding haha). So, thank you for being my friend, Jen!! Can't wait to have you be one of my bridesmaids!
Groomsman
Michael was part of both my childhood foursomes; the Schuenemeyer brothers foursome, and our Bisulca sports/games foursome! Whiffle ball, soccer, street hockey, backyard football, etc... Catan, Dominion, and a dozen different LOTR themed games, and WWII games! Michael gets credit for spearheading my favorite Catan experience - the Leary cousin's 10 (or is it 12??) player Holiday Catan Mega Game!
Bridesmaid
Stephanie and I met while both going to Virginia Tech. We bonded over a mutual love for Virginia Tech football and traveling! Stephanie is one of the main reasons why I ended up moving to Denver (she did her PhD at CSU), so indirectly you could say she contributed to Jonathan and I meeting each other since I maybe would have never moved to Colorado if Stephanie was not coming out here also!!
Groomsman
Part of our Bisulca foursome of sports and games! Whiffle ball teammate, board game opponent, and Stephen is also the one who went with me to see Roger Waters perform "The Wall" in New York!! Time - it all adds up to so much time spent together with Stephen and my brothers, and now we get more time as adults whether it was going to Nova Scotia (Stephen's idea!!), or this summer going to Iceland, and over the next years... who knows!!
Groomsman
Daniel started out as my little brother who I looked after, but now we have made a bunch of memories as friends, going on roller coaster road trips to Ohio, New Jersey, Florida; seeing Muse in concert three times; eating IHOP in probably 25 different cities/towns; going to the coolest restaurant that overlooks the Pacific in Big Sur; and now looking forward to new excursions wherever the military takes you!!
