a day to remember

Hello! We’re Matt and Sarah, and we’re so excited to share our story with you as we approach the big day! Our journey began in 2020 when Matt sent Sarah a message online (proof that one message to a girl you’ve never met can, in face, change your life). From that very first conversation, it was clear we had something special. We connected immediately, and what followed was four years of long-distance love while Matt served in the Army. Throughout this time, we navigated the challenges of deployments, long separations, and the many hurdles that come with military life. After a time apart, we came to realize God’s plan for us was greater than we ever could have imagined. Reconnecting was a gift that changed our lives. Despite the distance, we spent countless hours on phone calls, exchanged letters, and traveled—whether by train, plane, or car—to be together whenever we could. It was worth every second. Through it all, our faith in God remained a constant source of strength. We saw His hand in our relationship, guiding us through the challenges and blessing us with so many moments of joy. From the late-night conversations to the long drives and even the hardest goodbyes, God’s presence has been felt in every step of our journey. Matt has recently completed his time in the Army, and we’re beyond thrilled to be just an hour apart now (instead of six—woohoo!). While we may not see each other every day just yet, it’s been such a blessing to finally be in the same state, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to build our lives together and experience the moments we once dreamed about. After our wedding, Matt’s new job will be taking us to San Diego, where we’ll start a new chapter of our adventure together. (Please come visit us!) We are SO excited for what’s ahead and are so thankful for the love and support from our family and friends along the way. We can’t wait to celebrate this next step in our journey with you!
