Vulcan Park and Museum

This park has a great view of the city and a museum about the origins of Birmingham if you are interested.
Birmingham Botanical Gardens

One of our favorite places to walk and take pictures. The botanical gardens is free to visitors and walking distance from the Birmingham Zoo if you prefer animals to plants.
Birmingham Civil Rights Institute

A museum about the Civil Rights Movement and Birmingham's role in it. Also consider checking out the Birmingham Museum of Art (at our ceremony!) or the McWane Science Center if you are a nerd, like us.
The Pizitz Food Hall

A food hall in the center of Birmingham complete wth an Indie movie theater and Warby Parker. It is also right across the street from the McWane Science Centers if you have kids or just like science.
