Walk the beltline from Krog Street Market to Ponce City Market. 14-17 minute drive from the hotel. Along the Beltline you will see art installations, great skyline views, and some cool places to stop and check out. We really enjoy grabbing a bite at Krog then either going for a stroll on the Beltline or walking around Inman Park (the neighborhood surrounding Krog) which is Atlanta's first planned suburb in the late 19th century and boasts some beautiful Victorian-style mansions.
Oakland Cemetery is a beautiful place to walk around and learn about Atlanta's history. Audio tours (if recollection serves) are available by calling a dedicated number and listening to a recording relevant to the number dialed. Some of the more famous plots include author Margaret Mitchell and golfer Bobby Jones. Michael has spent some volunteer hours beautifying sections of the cemetery.
Atlanta was an important city in the fight for civil rights, with the city being home to Martin Luther King, Jr., Ralph Abernathy, the SCLC, and key demonstrations. Come visit one of the most important parts of Atlanta's Civil Rights history with a trip to Martin Luther King Jr. National Historic Park. The National Park encompassing King's birth home, Ebenezer Baptist Church & his final resting place. 17-22 minutes away from hotel.
Centennial Olympic Park is where the 1996 Summer Olympics was held. It has plenty of restaurants and parks, but best of all, there is the Atlanta SkyView, which is an enclosed, climate controlled ferris wheel that overlooks the best of the Atlanta cityscape. 21-24 minutes away from hotel.

Grant Park is a great neighborhood to explore. It is full of history and is also the neighborhood where Michael and Cheyenne met. This is a great way to explore some the rich history in Atlanta and the food and drink all on foot! Only 18 minutes away from the hotel.
The Georgia Aquarium is one of the largest aquariums in the world (#3 ain't bad). The beluga whales are perhaps the aquarium's most famous residents, but there are also whale sharks, otters, dolphins, manta rays, sea lions, penguins, and more.
If you don't mind a 30 minute drive from the hotel then Escape Game Atlanta is the play. The Escape Game Atlanta is located only 1 minute from the new Atlanta Braves baseball stadium, Sun Trust Park, and in an area with great restaurant choices.
Traveling with kids 3 and up? LEGOLAND is the perfect place for you. It is located in North Buckhead with plenty of great restaurants and other attractions. It's a 20-25 minute drive from the hotel.
Constructed in 1928 at the end of the Jazz Age, the Swan House was the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward and Emily Inman. They built the house for entertaining. Swan House is known for its grace and elegance. People often take tours of the house and gardens and attractions, such as local art shows, frequent the beautiful home. If you're looking for Atlanta's 'Biltmore Estates' then Swan House is the place to visit. 27-30 minutes away from hotel.
