COVID UPDATE - SEPT 4th

Hi All! In navigating state-wide wedding restrictions, Chase & Lauren’s continued goal is to legally & safely navigate their wedding day. As nothing has changed with state restrictions, this means the Weholts will have a private & live-streamed YouTube wedding with their bridal party and parents on Sept 7th but we are so excited to invite you to join us on YouTube at this link: https://youtu.be/zdAOQz0zfA8

COVID UPDATE - August 11th

In navigating state-wide wedding restrictions, Chase & Lauren’s continued goal is to legally & safely have as many friends and family physically present for their special day. As it stands, this means the Weholts will have a private & live-streamed YouTube wedding with their bridal party on Sept 7th. (Link is in your RSVP.) However, if ceremony size restrictions were to lift between now and the end of August, Chase and Lauren will contact confirmed in-person RSVPs, based upon a new capacity. “How can I help?” - Please, RSVP as if their wedding were to take place in-person on September 7th. If restrictions are lifted, emails and updates will be sent via the contact information you provide in the RSVP, in addition to this website. - Whether in-person or online, the Weholts will still begin their journey together on September 7th. If you would like to financially support the newlyweds in this season, please consider their registry items. - Prayer is powerful. Please consider praying and contending for Chase and Lauren in the following ways: a lifting of ceremony size restrictions; for God’s glory and goodness to be shown in this difficult season; abundance; joy. Thank you for your patience and flexibility. Whether on live-stream or possibly in-person, Chase and Lauren look forward to celebrating with you on September 7th!

FIRST

November, 2018

Chase and Lauren FIRST said “hello” while attending a church leadership conference in western Washington. Brief conversations about photograghy, education, and ministry prompted Chase to “follow-up” with Lauren over drinks. “Follow-up” led to months of unofficial coffee and drink dates between Tacoma and Spokane, WA, where Lauren and Chase lived and worked. Even with distance, the two privately grew more fond of each other.

OFFICIAL

January, 2019

Chase and Lauren’s OFFICIAL first date was in the romantic city of SeaTac. With a layover in Seattle, Chase asked Lauren to drinks. Lauren accepted, wondering if, after two months of spending time together, Chase would initiate something more. Meanwhile, Chase - blind to Lauren’s cues - readied and rehearsed the moment. When he recited his interest, Lauren smacked the table, grinning, and half-jokingly exclaimed, “It’s about damn time you said something!” When Lauren returned home, her mother asked about their meeting. “I’m going to marry him,” she said. So they shall.

FOREVER

December, 2019

Chase and Lauren began FOREVER within the walls of London’s Westminster Abbey. Months beforehand and knowing of Lauren’s impending travels abroad, Chase schemed the perfect plan, thanks to family, friends, and deceiving Instagram posts. His uncle - a delta pilot - conjured a last-minute ticket, while another uncle - a businessman - crafted the engagement ring. Lauren’s travel-mate had an equally important role: getting Lauren to Westminster Abbey without suspicion, which was further managed when Chase posted pre-recorded Instagram posts as he traveled across the globe. Ultimately, everything came together. Lauren blissfully walked into the famous English church to be completely surprised by Chase, waiting for her hand. Forever.
