FAQs

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Who knows! We'll be high in the mountains so it will likely be chilly at night. Please bring appropriate layers for potentially warmer autumn days and brisk nights. This time of year may bring rain or snow, it is recommended you bring more than just your heels and slippers.

Question

Where will the ceremony take place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outside, weather permitting, in a small clearing a couple minutes away (by car) from the reception site.

Question

How do we get to the ceremony site?

Answer

At 3:30pm on the wedding date, shuttles will begin picking up guests at the Canyonside Lodge and dropping them off at the ceremony site. You are welcome to drive yourself to the ceremony site and park on the side of the road as well. Signage will be posted for easy navigation. Shuttles available post-ceremony to return guests to reception at Canyonside Lodge.

Question

Where will the reception be?

Answer

It will be at the base of Eagle Point Resort at Canyonside Lodge. This is at 9,000' elevation. Alcohol is more potent at higher elevation so our midwestern folks, please drink responsibly!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Cocktail attire, please. We know we are partying in the mountains but please avoid jeans and shorts for the big day. Ladies, chunky heels or flats are recommended due to the ceremony being held outside.

Question

Where to get food

Answer

Eagle Point Resort is a small ski resort with limited operations during late September. For this reason, there will be limited food options such as restaurants and grocery stores at the venue. We will have a welcome dinner the evening of 9/26 that everyone is invited to, plus the wedding reception dinner on 9/27. We recommend bringing some of your own snacks for the weekend on the way in. There is also a grocery store in Beaver, UT around 40 minutes away to gather provisions.

Question

Can kids come?

Answer

Please leave your children at home. Preferably alone and unsupervised with lots of ice cream.
