What should I wear?

Answer

For our wedding, we would love if you could wear cocktail attire. If you are attending the ceremony, please be respectful of the Church when choosing your attire.

When and where is the ceremony taking place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at 6:00 pm Saturday, June 4th, 2022 at St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The address is 2500 Enterprise Blvd, Lake Charles, Louisiana 70601.

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 6:00 pm, so please arrive beforehand. We recommend getting to the church early if possible.

What is the timeline for the day?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at St. Margaret's Catholic Church at 6:00 pm. The reception will begin at the Brick House at approximately 7:00 pm. There will be food, drinks, and plenty of music and dancing. The night will conclude at 10:45 pm where friends and family can send off the newlywed couple.

Answer

Friends and family can send off the bride and groom at 10:45 pm!

Will there be vegan / vegetarian / gluten-free options?

Answer

While the food will be picked out with omnivores in mind, we want to accommodate all of our guests! Please let me know if you have any allergies or concerns at wedtowhittington2022@gmail.com.

Will there be alcoholic beverages?

Answer

For the reception, there will be wine and beer available with a cash bar for any other drink of your choice. There will also be non-alcoholic beverage options available.

Are there any colors you would prefer me not to wear?

Answer

While there are no colors that are completely off-limits, our bridal party will be wearing blush and navy, so please keep that in mind when picking out your outfit for the evening. Also, please no white dresses.

Should we wear masks to the wedding?

Answer

Please do whatever you feel is best for you, your health, and the health of others. At this time we will not require masks, we encourage everyone to do what makes them feel safe and comfortable.

Who should I reach out to if I'm concerned about COVID-19?

Answer

If you are concerned about COVID-19 and social-distancing, please feel free to email wedtowhittington2022@gmail.com with any concerns you may have. While masks are not currently required, they will be offered for those who wish to wear them.

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is present enough! However, for friends and family who have expressed an interest, we've created an online registry through Amazon and Bed, Bath, & Beyond.

You can RSVP here through Zola, under the RSVP tab.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

To respect our vendors and give them plenty of time, please RSVP by Monday, May 9nd, 2022. Responses can be made here or by mail.

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Fortunately, both the ceremony and reception will be indoors.

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

There will be ample free parking at both the church and Brick House.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on to their social media channels, our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #WedToWhittington2022 so we can keep track of all of your pictures!

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We are opting to have a ceremony with all cameras and cell phones put away due to having a photographer and the ceremony being in the Church.

I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in Lake Charles?

Answer

We actually have a tab on this website. There are many options for dining and entertainment in Lake Charles.
