We first crossed paths while playing tennis with friends on a sunny summer day. It was a fun afternoon, but we didn’t think much of it at the time. A few weeks later, Andrew was hanging out with his friend (and future best man) Nate, chatting about The Matrix. Since the movie wasn’t available on any streaming services back then, Nate had an idea—he knew just the person who might have a copy. Enter Devon, whose movie-loving dad, Michael, had a collection for every occasion. Devon came to the rescue and invited the guys over to watch it that same afternoon. That night kicked off a mini movie marathon! Over the next few days, the three of us worked through The Matrix sequels, the Harry Potter series, and Devon’s personal favorite, Austin Powers. Somewhere between Neo’s slow-motion dodging and the groovy International Man of Mystery, Andrew decided to ask Devon out for a walk to the nearby coffee shop. What started as a simple stroll turned into hours of conversation and connection. By the end of that walk, we both knew this was something special. Andrew asked Devon to be his girlfriend officially on August 15th, 2016!

During a magical three-week adventure through Europe in 2022, Devon and Andrew celebrated Christmas Eve at the world-famous Christmas Market in Edinburgh, Scotland. Amid the twinkling lights and festive cheer, Andrew had planned something unforgettable. He had booked tickets for the ferris wheel, which overlooked the breathtaking views of the market and the iconic Edinburgh Castle. As their gondola reached the very top, Andrew got down on one knee and asked Devon to marry with him. Completely surprised (and so incredibly overjoyed), Devon said yes! The newly engaged couple spent the rest of the evening wandering the charming streets of Edinburgh, dancing, singing, and celebrating their special moment.
