Allen and Ceili met on the MSU Fencing Team in 2017, when Allen joined as a freshman and Ceili brought him over to the epee squad to learn how to fence for the first time. They fenced together, captained together, and continue to fence together now. They started dating in the spring of 2021, and moved in together in Grand Rapids when Allen graduated and began working at Atomic Object. Allen started fencing for GRAFA and coaching at MSU. Ceili's cat Sasha made the move with them and quickly decided that Allen was her favorite parent. She knows all she has to do is follow Allen into the kitchen and meow, and she will probably get a treat. Sasha loves sitting in Allen's lap while he plays video games, and tolerates Ceili's continued presence in her domain. Allen and Ceili decided to tie the knot after four years together, and eloped in March 2025 in the gymnasium where they met, witnessed by the MSU Fencing Team. In July of 2026, they will complete the sacrament of marriage at the Cathedral of St Andrew in Grand Rapids in front of their family. A large reception with all their friends is planned for Spring 2027. Allen and Ceili have a lot of shared interests: fencing, hockey, video games, board games, travel, movies, books, and pretty much anything nerdy. They attend DragonCon in Atlanta every year dressed in cosplay, and regularly show up for trivia nights at House Rules, where Ceili works. They have been leaders in the video game outfit 2RAF for the game Planetside 2 since 2021, and compete in the international outfit wars for the game every year. When not on the computer, they do crafts and read books in their cozy game room, which houses their massive board game collection. Ceili is a constant reader, and Allen has begun to pick up reading more and more throughout their years together. Being best friends has made it easy for Allen and Ceili to spend their spare time enjoying each other's company, no matter the activity.
