Katie & Skyler met in April 2017 at Frankfort Hall - a German-style beer hall in the Northern Liberties neighborhood of Philadelphia. Katie had recently moved back to the area from New Orleans and her close friend Becca invited her to a bridal party celebration out in the city. Little did Katie know, Becca was a mutual friend that met Skyler in college and she and her friends knew him well! They also understood Skyler to be a handsome, eligible bachelor who had no plans that night so they invited him to the event. After exchanging pleasantries and having some laughs that first night - Skyler wasted no time and moved next to establish Katie as a connection on LinkedIn and a friend on Facebook BEFORE their first date (yes - he actually did that). Somewhat worried she may have bit off more than she could chew, Katie nevertheless accepted these requests and gave Skyler a shot at a second date…and then a third…. Since then, Katie and Skyler have flourished as a young couple who have made a life for themselves and planted their roots in the city of Brotherly and Sisterly Love. They’ve experienced the Eagle’s first Super Bowl victory, found the best dim sum in Chinatown and have learned that parking is the ultimate luxury to city living. Outside of Philadelphia, Katie & Skyler have travelled together to exotic destinations such as Hawaii, Iceland, Columbus, OH and most recently Puerto Rico where they got engaged!
