Sam and I crossed paths back in May 2021. Our first date happened at a cozy coffee shop in my hometown, and, well, here we are, three years later, still going strong. The early days meant a solid hour on the road for both of us, but love has a funny way of making those miles seem shorter. I decided to dive back into college for nursing. My school in Brookfield and Sam's job in Sheboygan made for a bit of a dance, but we figured it out. Fast forward to January 2023, and we found ourselves moving into our first investment property, a cozy spot we could call our own, bought in December 2021. A few months later, we made a short hop down the street to our second investment– a new adventure together. Enter February 2023, the month Clementine, our little kitty friend, joined the crew, becoming the playful sibling to our black lab, Leo. Outside of work and study sessions, our downtime is simple: coffee shop explorations, shared workouts, city wanders, and late-night chats about what's next. Come January 2024, a new chapter awaits us in Savannah, Georgia. Sam, an IT team manager at Acuity Insurance, and me, soon to be an ER nurse at St. Joes Hospital, are eager to see what the South has in store for our story. We are excited to move to Savannah. Saying "I do" is on the horizon, and we can hardly wait for that simple yet profound moment that will bind us together for a lifetime.
