We’re getting married!

HER VERSION Never did I imagine that I would meet the man who would become my lifelong partner through my friend, Dethkontee Geetoe; which happened to be his cousin - in a bizarre way at that! Our story began in December 2017. I remembered I was lying down in bed at 9:45 am when my phone vibrated. I turned and looked at it, it was a Facebook message from my friend Dethkontee. The message stated, "you woman are you back in Minnesota? I had a dream about you, call me." After reading the message, I was a bit puzzled, because it was a little off-centered to me. I went ahead and called her right away. She answered the phone with so much excitement in her voice, after reminiscing for a few minutes about old times. She told me she was just joking about the dream and she just wanted me to call her. We laughed about it for a few minutes, at that moment she started to talk about her cousin, who lives in Maryland by the name Janjay Jones. She said that he has been asking her about me. As we were talking, I quickly search him on Facebook. Surprisingly we were already friends. I thought to myself, WOW HE IS ONE FINE AND HANDSOME GENTLEMAN. She had so many nice things to say about him, but I kept on looking at his pictures. I completely had a different perspective on what she was telling me about him. He just seemed too good to be true from looking at his pictures. She insisted that I should send him a message. I hesitated a little bit because I was nervous, I didn't know what to say in the message. I went ahead and messaged him saying, ”Hey, how are you doing? Your cousin Dethkontee told me to write you something.” I laughed out loud to myself and quickly logged out of my messenger. A day later I received a greeting from him, and the rest is history.

HIS VERSION I knew early on in our relationship that Denise was the perfect woman for me; purposing wasn't a question of it, it was only a matter of time. My plan was always to try and surprise her and make it a memorable moment for the both of us. According to Denise, I just needed to make sure that she had her nails and hair done, or she was going to say no and make me ask again. When I decided that it was time to pop the question, I knew I had to make sure she wasn't going to be expecting it. What better way to throw her off then to purpose in Las Vegas, at the 5 star On Top Of The World Restaurant? Just a few minutes after I purposed, the rain decided to subside and the sun finally came out. We spent the remainder of our day together in the city of Las Vegas. that day was one of the best days of my life thus far (I think our wedding will take the cake soon enough).
