Things To Do

We're so excited to share a few of our favorite places with you! If it is your first time in Charleston and you are staying for the weekend, please consider using the website "Tour Pass". It makes planning much easier and there are some great deals! We tested it out just for you and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Explore the website early so you can plan the best weekend in Charleston for you and your family, there is truly something for everyone. We can't wait to see you!! XOXO Andrew and Kelsey

Charleston Visitor Center

375 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29403

Charleston has amazing resources at the visitors center, please make this one of your first stops!

Historic Charleston Foundation

108 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29401

Consider downloading the "Historic Charleston Foundation" App. It is a free app that features audio guides as well as a city guide the city did a wonderful job putting this together and it will be a great resource for you!

Aiken-Rhett House

48 Elizabeth Street, Charleston, SC 29403

This is an incredibly educational audio tour in Charleston. If you only go to one house make it this! This is a preserved house and not a restored house. It will feel like you are stepping back in time. Please note that the content depicts the reality of Charleston and life for many enslaved people. This may not be age-appropriate for all guests.

Schooner Pride

360 Concord Street, Charleston, SC 29401

Use "tour pass" to book a ride on the Schooner Pride! It is a trip around the harbor on an old boat. This is not a guided tour but incredibly beautiful and relaxing!

Adventure Sightseeing

375 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC 29403

This company offers all sorts of tours and packages to be sure to check them out! If you want to learn about Charleston and escape the heat book an afternoon bus tour. Please note this is a Sprinter van-style bus, not an open-air sightseeing bus like you might see in NYC or London.

Palmetto Carriage Works

8 Guignard Street, Charleston, SC 29401

If you want to learn more about the history of Charleston, be sure to take a horse-drawn carriage ride. Please consider the heat when you book your tour, we like to go before 11:00 so the horses aren't so hot. This company takes great care of their horses, take a look at their website to learn more.

Middleton Place

4300 Ashley River Road, Charleston, SC 29414

This is a drive from the peninsula. It would be worth booking a tour company to transport but if you have your vehicle you can head there for dinner and walk the grounds for free. This is Kelsey's favorite plantation because of the pristine gardens.

Folly Beach

Folly Beach, SC

Surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the Folly River, visitors enjoy six miles of wide beaches, surfing, fishing, biking, kayaking, boating, eco-tours, and sea wildlife. Downtown Folly features an eclectic array of locally owned stores and restaurants.
