4:00 pm
Casual Attire. Think summer camp!
We will have pizza with some gluten-free and vegan options. We will have some non-alcoholic beverages available but BYO beer and wine if you like, our venue does not allow hard liquor. We encourage our friends who are musically inclined to bring instruments. We will have a fire going and there is plenty of space to hang around so decks of cards, yard games, or other summer camp essentials are welcome. Campers can settle into your cabins and enjoy the grounds. If you wish to arrive early please let us know and we will try to accommodate you. For those who are not camping there is parking on-site. Look for the Farm and Wilderness sign on Route 100 next to the boat launch parking lot at the tail end of Woodard Reservoir, follow the signs for Max and Hailey as you drive up the dirt road into the camp to find Tamarack Farm parking. From the parking lot it is a 2 minute walk to the main building where all events will be held. There is limited handicap parking next to the main building.
3:30 pm
Semi-formal Attire. Wear flat shoes to walk on grass and trails at event site. Weather should be warm in early September but this is Vermont so bring a sweatshirt or a jacket for evenings or just-in-case.
There will be some light fare and drinks provided before the ceremony at 2:30 pm along with the musical stylings of our friend Nick Bredice! We hope campers will enjoy a beautiful and relaxing day by the water, but whether you are camping or not, guests are free to arrive any time and enjoy the farm grounds, hiking trails, and game room/reading loft in the main building. A lifeguard will be present from 11am to 2pm for anyone who wants to swim in the reservoir or take one of the canoes out for a spin. We ask that campers bring their own breakfast and lunch, or, you can take a drive to explore the surrounding towns of Killington and Woodstock for many meal options. There are composting toilets scattered through the grounds (if you're brave), but there is also a main building with all modern essentials including showers, flushing toilets, and a refrigerator if you need it. The ceremony will begin at 3:30 pm followed by a buffet dinner and live music from Rick Reddington and the Luv.
3:30 pm - 4:00 pm
You can choose to stay on-site for free in either one of the camp's rustic open-air cabins (so cool!) or in the main building's hostel-style bunk beds (indoor plumbing and wifi!). If you choose to stay in the cabins we can bunk you with your family in your own space. While there are more amenities in the main building, rooms are larger with more beds and you may need to make some new friends!
You can, of course, choose to find lodging offsite (we recommend Cedarbrook Hotel in Killington) but as we have rented out a summer camp for the weekend, there is plenty of space for all who wish to stay there. You can choose to stay either Friday or Saturday night (or both) as we have the space available until late Sunday morning. Please indicate if you would wish to stay in the main building with dorm or hostel-style bunk beds (please note these rooms are rather large and you may need to share with other parties). You can also indicate if you wish to have a private cabin for your family/crew in one of the rustic open-air structures that are built by campers. Mattresses are provided for both indoor and outdoor accommodations but you will need to bring your own bedding. If you are camping for the weekend you may want to bring snacks, bug spray, and other camping essentials. We cannot stress enough how cool we think these cabins are. We certainly plan to camp!
