I (Kasi) was working at Hardee’s in the town we lived in back in 2006. A friend I went to school came in and said “a friend of mine was wondering if he could get your number?” Of course me being the feisty person I have always been, I hit him with the “If he wants my number he can come down here and get it himself!” He must of been at Hardee’s 7 minutes later!! Ha ha. We enjoyed a couple months together before going our separate ways. Fast forward 10 years and 7 children later, he probably hit me with a “what’s up Kasi MF Roberts” via Facebook messenger and that’s when it began. Keep reading for the "fluffed" version!
Walking into hardee's that day, I never thought I would meet the woman id spend the rest of my life with. What I did know is that I seen someone that took my breath away. Too nervous to say anything except I want a charbroiled chicken club with curly fries and I still walked out hungry so to speak. Once I got home, a friend of mine Anthony Pullium, seen the food i just ordered he said " I need to get me some of that". With Kasi Roberts still racing through my mind I replied, "Hey while you're up there get the worker Kasi's phone number for me!" Returning to my food, I played the last 15 minutes back in my head. Smirking at the fact I thought my cheesy line I just spat to my friend would get him to look at her at minimum and we would have a conversation of her beauty when he returns. To my surprise he returns with a line of his own. He tells me that he knows her and he did ask her for her number. Blown away, I asked him " What did she say?" He replies, " She says if you want her number, you need to go ask for it yourself!" Without hesitation I reply with "Bet!" and rush out the door. Running down the street I thought to myself, her slick self replying with a sassy comment like that. I had no clue at that moment I was in for a lifetime of sassy replies. I slowed to a walk just a few feet from the doors to catch my breath and get my baller samsung flip phone out because I just knew I would leave with her number programed in it. I walked right up and asked like I had nothing to lose. I asked and she obliged.
