Things To Do

We're excited to share a few of our favorite places in the Winter Park area with you! See below for coffee shops and restaurants, bars, shopping, things to do, and other sweet spots to check out.
Park Ave / Downtown Winter Park

Park Ave / Downtown Winter Park

Park Avenue, Winter Park, FL

Park Ave in Downtown Winter Park is our favorite place to hang any time of the day. There's shops, coffee spots, dining, bars, and lots of dogs. Notable Mentions: Park Social (Speakeasy), The Wine Room, Fiddler's Irish Pub (highly recommend), blu on the avenue, Prato, & The Parkview. Heads up: Parking is usually pretty limited on Saturdays with the Farmer's Market, and there's an Art Festival going on the 12th as well.

East End Market

3201 Corrine Drive, Orlando, FL 32803
, (321) 236-3316

Neighborhood market and culinary food hub inspired by Central Florida’s local farmers and food artisans. Great place to grab a bite/drink and hang out outside around plants and lots of seating. Favorite Stops: Porch Therapy, Lineage Coffee, Farm-Haus, and Skyebird Juice Bar

Mead Botanical Garden

Mead Botanical Garden

1300 South Denning Drive, Winter Park, FL 32789
, (407) 599-2800

47.6 acre park that offers a variety of facilities including an amphitheater, butterfly garden, boardwalk, and a bike trail. Great place for an early morning run or stroll before it gets too hot.

46th Annual Winter Park Autumn Art Festival

46th Annual Winter Park Autumn Art Festival

251 S. Park Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789

The festival is held in beautiful Central Park located along historic Park Ave in downtown Winter Park. We went last year and enjoyed walking around/people watching. Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13 Open from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. both days and admission is free

New General

155 East New England Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789
, (321) 972-2819

Cutest little coffee shop right off of Park Ave! Favorite Order: Iced Honey Latte and Avocado Toast

Buttermilk Bakery

Buttermilk Bakery

1198 North Orange Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789
, (321) 422-4015

An absolute MUST during your trip to Winter Park. We recommend everything on the menu- but our favorites include the Kouign-Amanns or any of the croissants. Come early- it gets packed!

Foxtail Farmhouse

1282 North Orange Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789
, (407) 951-7931

Located between Buttermilk Bakery and The Heavy. Enjoy this mixed-use artisan venue and creative space created for a growing craft-focused community. Includes specialty grade craft coffees roasted on site, Foxtail’s Gravity Bar selling single-origins and coffee blends, a wine and bubbles bar, cocktails on tap, fresh juice, small bites, local pastries, and an experimental coffee menu.

The Heavy

The Heavy

1152 Harmon Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789

The cutest little shop we ever did see. Plants, flowers, coffee, and quality goods. Located in the old Lombardi's warehouse on the corner of 1792 and Orange Avenue. You can also access Harmon Avenue from Palmetto Ave which runs behind Foxtail Coffee. So fresh and so green, green.

The Owl's Attic

The Owl's Attic

4031 Forsyth Road, Winter Park, FL 32792

If you like thrift stores: just go. Make sure you cue some Macklemore on the way. *I'm gonna pop some taaagssss*

Barnie's Coffee

Barnie's Coffee

118 South Park Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789

Great breakfast place located on Park Ave. Grab a spot outside or by the window to people watch- or grab your coffee to go and walk around downtown Winter Park. Favorite Order: BBQ Breakfast Sandwich

Boca Winter Park

358 North Park Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789
, (407) 636-7022

Great atmosphere on Park Ave in Downtown Winter Park. From brunch, lunch, to dinner, it's hard to go wrong here. Favorites include the Tuna Poke and Hangover Panini- might be stopping by on Sunday for that last one.

Walt Disney World Resort

Orlando, FL 32830
, (407) 939-5277

We'd be crazy if we didn't recommend a trip to Disney or one of the surrounding Theme Parks. Our favorite parks/experiences include drinking around the world at Epcot, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal (or riding the Mummy, such a classic), and the Tower of Terror at MGM Studios. Honorable mention goes to Volcano Bay Water Theme Park-never been, but their lazy river that sounds like a great way to cure a hangover.

Rock Springs at Kelly Park

400 E Kelly Park Road, Apopka, FL 32712

Central Florida's natural lazy river. Kelly Park is a great half-day trip from Winter Park and features a free-flowing natural spring (68 degrees year round), full-service concession, picnic pavilions, and a playground. Tent and RV camping are available at this park and there is a $5 fee per vehicle to enter.

East Coast Beaches

FL

Cocoa Beach, Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Canaveral National Seashore, and Flagler beach are all great choices within an hour and ten minutes from Orlando.

Gulf Coach Beaches

FL

Treasure Island, Clearwater Beach, Fort DeSoto Park, Caladesi Island State Park, Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, and Siesta Key are all within 2-2 1/2 hours from Orlando. We might be biased, but we think Anna Maria Island is the best beach in the world.

For all the days along the way
