Park Ave in Downtown Winter Park is our favorite place to hang any time of the day. There's shops, coffee spots, dining, bars, and lots of dogs. Notable Mentions: Park Social (Speakeasy), The Wine Room, Fiddler's Irish Pub (highly recommend), blu on the avenue, Prato, & The Parkview. Heads up: Parking is usually pretty limited on Saturdays with the Farmer's Market, and there's an Art Festival going on the 12th as well.
Neighborhood market and culinary food hub inspired by Central Florida’s local farmers and food artisans. Great place to grab a bite/drink and hang out outside around plants and lots of seating. Favorite Stops: Porch Therapy, Lineage Coffee, Farm-Haus, and Skyebird Juice Bar
The festival is held in beautiful Central Park located along historic Park Ave in downtown Winter Park. We went last year and enjoyed walking around/people watching. Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13 Open from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. both days and admission is free
Cutest little coffee shop right off of Park Ave! Favorite Order: Iced Honey Latte and Avocado Toast
Located between Buttermilk Bakery and The Heavy. Enjoy this mixed-use artisan venue and creative space created for a growing craft-focused community. Includes specialty grade craft coffees roasted on site, Foxtail’s Gravity Bar selling single-origins and coffee blends, a wine and bubbles bar, cocktails on tap, fresh juice, small bites, local pastries, and an experimental coffee menu.
The cutest little shop we ever did see. Plants, flowers, coffee, and quality goods. Located in the old Lombardi's warehouse on the corner of 1792 and Orange Avenue. You can also access Harmon Avenue from Palmetto Ave which runs behind Foxtail Coffee. So fresh and so green, green.
Great atmosphere on Park Ave in Downtown Winter Park. From brunch, lunch, to dinner, it's hard to go wrong here. Favorites include the Tuna Poke and Hangover Panini- might be stopping by on Sunday for that last one.
We'd be crazy if we didn't recommend a trip to Disney or one of the surrounding Theme Parks. Our favorite parks/experiences include drinking around the world at Epcot, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal (or riding the Mummy, such a classic), and the Tower of Terror at MGM Studios. Honorable mention goes to Volcano Bay Water Theme Park-never been, but their lazy river that sounds like a great way to cure a hangover.
Central Florida's natural lazy river. Kelly Park is a great half-day trip from Winter Park and features a free-flowing natural spring (68 degrees year round), full-service concession, picnic pavilions, and a playground. Tent and RV camping are available at this park and there is a $5 fee per vehicle to enter.
Cocoa Beach, Daytona Beach, New Smyrna Beach, Canaveral National Seashore, and Flagler beach are all great choices within an hour and ten minutes from Orlando.
Treasure Island, Clearwater Beach, Fort DeSoto Park, Caladesi Island State Park, Anna Maria Island, Longboat Key, and Siesta Key are all within 2-2 1/2 hours from Orlando. We might be biased, but we think Anna Maria Island is the best beach in the world.
