We met at my family’s kava bar in Bradenton and became friends first. We were both going to the same church, so we started sitting together during services—and from there, our connection naturally grew. We began going on dates and eventually fell in love. In April of last year, he asked me to be his girlfriend at my favorite park while we watched the sunset. He had me read Genesis 2:18–24 and asked me to promise that we would always put God above everything—even each other. We’ve kept that promise, and God has continued to bless our relationship in more ways than I can count. I thank Him every day for bringing us together. It's the greatest blessing of my life. Then, this past April—one year and eight days later—he brought me back to that same park by the beach and asked me to marry him. Every day, he continues to make my dreams come true, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him. With my whole heart, I know I was made to be his rib. God is so, so good.
