Here are some suggestions of how best to get to the Logan Square Auditorium, where to park if you're driving and where to stay if you're in from out of town.

Travel Note

Parking

Unfortunately, there is no dedicated parking lot at the Logan Square Auditorium. However, there is plenty of free & metered parking available within walking distance. If you choose to park in the metered spots, I would recommend downloading the ParkChicago app as most spots will only allow you to pay for 2 hours of parking at a time. If you don't feel like walking back to the meter every two hours, this is the best solution. Check on Logan Boulevard (directly east of the Auditorium) between California Ave & Albany Ave on either the North or South sides of the street. You'll often find a lot of free parking here or on the side streets immediately off of Logan Blvd. Be mindful of "permit only" parking signs. Check on Kedzie Blvd (directly south of the venue) along the boulevard for metered and some free parking. There is a small street just to the south of the venue off of Kedzie called Linden Place (right next to City Lit Books) that has metered parking. Along Milwaukee Ave (the diagonal street that passes by just to the east of the venue) there is plenty of metered parking. Further south down Milwaukee there is a parking garage above the Target (address is listed as 2431 N Linden Place). For 6 hours of parking this will cost between $15-$20. This lot isn't huge, so if you plan on parking here try to reserve your parking spot ahead of time. If you have anxiety about parking, I'd suggest using the SpotHero service. You can reserve a spot well in advance and get exact directions to its location. Otherwise, don't hesitate to reach out to John in advance with any parking concerns.

Train

CTA Blue Line - Logan Square

If you're staying downtown or coming from the suburbs via train, I recommend taking the CTA Blue Line towards O'Hare to the Logan Square stop. The station is just across the square from the venue. If you're coming into Union Station, the nearest Blue Line stop is at Clinton. If you're coming into Ogilvie Station, I'd walk east across the river to the Washington/Wells Brown Line stop, take that to Clark/Lake and transfer to the Blue Line there. Or if you're feeling up for a walk, just walk down Washington all the way to Dearborn and you'll find the Washington Blue Line.

Travel Note

Hotels:

Logan Square is very much a residential neighborhood and, as such, is somewhat limited in terms of full service hotels. I've listed out the spots nearest to the venue but with the Logan Square CTA stop so close (and cabs/ubers/lyfts always an option) I would also suggest looking downtown where the options are plentiful and the budget range much more varied.

Hotel

Hyatt Place Chicago / Wicker Park

1551 West North Avenue, Chicago, IL 60622

The Hyatt Place is the nearest full service hotel to our venue. It's located on the corner of Ashland Ave. and North Ave. just off of the 90/94 expressway and has parking (though it is $50 overnight). It's about a 12 minute walk from the Division Blue Line stop.

Hotel

The Robey

2018 West North Avenue, Chicago, IL 60647

The Robey is a beautiful boutique hotel in a 1920s Art Deco building in the heart of Wicker Park. It's on the fancier side but it has a lot to offer. You're a three minute walk from the Damen Blue Line stop and only a few stop stops away from Logan Square and the venue. The rooftop bar also has some of the best views of any rooftop in Chicago.

Hotel

Chicago Athletic Association - The Unbound Collection by Hyatt

12 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60603

On the fancier side but one of the most beautiful buildings Chicago has to offer. It has a beautiful lobby, an award winning cocktail bar, a couple fantastic restaurants (including the Cherry Circle Room, where Christine was a host) and a great rooftop bar that overlooks Millennium Park and the lakefront.

Travel Note

Airbnb & Vrbo

Logan Square and the surrounding neighborhoods have plenty of Airbnb & Vrbo rentals. For those not familiar with Chicago, I'd recommend the following neighborhoods for proximity and convenience: - Logan Square - Avondale - Wicker Park - Bucktown - Humboldt Park - West Town - Ukrainian Village There are dozens over other neighborhoods you'll find comfortable and that are easily accessible to the venue, feel free to reach out to Christine and I if you have any concerns.
